My new book: 'Strategic Human Resource Management'
Companies operating internationally face many human resource challenges. They must internationalize and increase diversity; they must help employees communicate and build relationships with people from all over the world; they must connect human resource development to business strategy. To do this, though, we must go beyond our parochial tendencies. We cannot just do “business as usual”. This book is a great starting point for finding solutions and best practices. In it you can find the strategic vision to navigate the new global work environment.
Only Mr. Oikawa’s could write this book! It is informed by his long years of international business experience, his drive for performance, and his deep understanding of peopleand how they work together. For years we have worked together helping Japanese staff and human resources departments better work internationally. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand how cultural difference and globalization impacts human resource management. Prof. Joseph Shales, Rikkyo University MBA
