Program objectives/Stream of the workshop:
  • By the end of the program, participants will be able to:Define and understand sources of conflict or problems internally/externally by using 5 dimensions of “Awareness Wheel”. 
     
  • Start with “Fact-findings and awareness of what you see.”Identify the cause to bring the facts into insight in “thoughts”.
     
  • Then identify your “feelings” and more importantly explore your “wants” as human-being, finally leading you to “future actions” with strong initiatives and motivation they are brought into consciousness.
     
  • Understand the different base of personality and styles of different persons by using inter-culture approach.
     
  • Apply influence and explore your relationships with others by using “4 social communication styles” on case by case basis as this is a strategic inter-personal approach.
     
  • Turn arguments into logical discussions and create win-win comfortable resolutions finally.

By the end of the program participants will gain and enjoy all the above suite which is practiced in F-1 circuit of the well-structured training workshop based on 5 awareness wheel and 4 social communication styles. 

 

Feature of our Leadership + Work-Communication Training 
  1. Program is designed for Mangers, supervisors and professionals who wish to improve their conflict management styles and those who wish to make powerful influence in place to others even when authority is lacking.
     
  2. All are inhouse-training, ie, your inside-organization training (not open enrollment program) tailored for your entity’s (organizational) context of the mission and strategy.
     
  3. Either on-site training or off-site training environment can be available.
     
  4. Fixed Cost: Equivalent of JPY250,000 for 2-days unit (including JPY50,000 management fee, air fee, local transport all inclusive) This total JPY250,000 is fixed chargeable on prior invoice and paid by bank transfer as agreed.  Accommodations are arranged by the client locally.
     
  5. Quality assurance made by prior agreement on the goal settings and practice performed by Mr. Yoshimoto Oikawa himself.
     
  6. Language: English
     
  7. Place of training delivery: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and any other Asian Pacific region.
     
  8. Style of training: Ultimate interactive workshop, high impact session style sharing useful and memorable time with fun.  The program is designed to be self-directed, containing minimal academic theory with much of emphasis on reflection to sessions to encourage self-awareness.
     
  9. Training duration time: 2 days (1.5 days).  Time generous not to be bound too much off from the work for the managers.
     
  10. This tailored workshop program will deliver tangible and impressive results in the challenging personal agenda in the workplace.
     
  11. This workshop has been found to be a meaningful and practical hlp for understanding and improving inter-cultural business relationships as well.

Core methodology competence:

The Awareness Wheel is compartmentalized into 5 different aspects of our mental processes as we experience life. These 5 aspects are:

  1. Sensory data
  2. Thoughts
  3. Feelings
  4. Wants
  5. Actions

Sensory data is all the information we receive through our five physical senses, i.e. our eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. This data, once received, is immediately processed in our mind by comparing it with previous experiences.

Thoughts are automatically formed with very little conscious awareness through this inner processing involving past memories. Within this process, assumptions, beliefs, concepts, expectations, meanings and judgments are made.

Our thoughts, then, are the story we tell ourselves and others about the sensory data that we have interpreted. Unless we are fully aware of this process, we are unlikely to be able to see things as they really are. Instead, it will be a story we have created from our own perceptions, coming from our own perspectives.

Feelings are our physiological responses to those thoughts, resulting in pleasant or unpleasant sensations which we described as fear, sadness, anger, joy or guilt, or all the other variations of emotion.

Wants are our desires, expectations, hopes and yearnings that we have for ourselves.

Actions are our behaviors, in words or actions, that follow through as a result of how we interpret and perceive the data, and whether they are compatible with what we want.

When our interpretation is not compatible with what we want, negative emotions arise, which lead to behaviors that are likely to result in negative outcomes. Likewise, when the interpretation is compatible with our desires, positive emotions are generated and we behave in a more desirable way which most likely lead to desirable outcomes.

In most instances, we are aware of only a portion of this entire process. For example, some people find it easy to be aware of their thoughts but have difficulty in recognizing and identifying their feelings. When we have trained ourselves to be aware of all five, we are more aware of our thoughts, recognize the feelings triggered by or associated with the thoughts, identify our desires, expectations and hopes and why we react the way we did.

Knowing this process intimately and consciously provides us with more choices and assists us in making wiser decisions. It also helps us in resolving conflicts in our relationships, in understanding ourselves and others better. In turns, our empathy for others increases and we become more compassionate, accepting and forgiving. (Miller, Sherod and Phylis)

Knowing the Awareness Wheel is part of the process of introspection or looking within that is required for self understanding.  We strongly encourage you to be familiar with it through our workshop program to deal with a reality in the workplace.  By being equipped with Awareness Wheel inside, managers will be expected to become more powerful global leader dramatically and enhance personal/organizational growth/performance as well in the end.

Those who want to know oneself better can enjoy the analytical report with his constructive suggestions and tips giving quantitative/qualified indication to avoid any pitfalls and enhance the level of improvement in the behavior.  PICO analysis is not a conditional one as a part of the workshop but it is available on request.
